Jurassic World 4 can no longer cage dinosaurs after Fallen Kingdom ends

Jurassic World 4 will follow Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but the franchise can’t send its prehistoric stars back into captivity once again.

Regardless of what happens in JUrassic World: Dominionafter the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdomthere’s no way Jurassic World 4 can return dinosaurs to captivity. The third part of jurassic world series and sixth film overall jurassic park franchise, Domination is set to arrive in theaters on June 10, and it’s already like no other film in the series. Unlike its predecessors, Domination will open with its population of dinosaurs living among the humans who created them.

2018 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom saw the dinosaurs transported from the abandoned Isla Sorna to escape a volcanic eruption. However, rather than being a simple rescue operation, human protagonists Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) learn that the dinosaurs are being auctioned off. At the end of the film, the dinosaurs are freed from their captivity, leaving fallen kingdom on a cliffhanger.

Domination will also see the return of Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant and Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, as well as Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcom. Returning Cast Members Indicate Domination won’t be without a nostalgic component, but starting from the ground up will also be a sea change for the franchise. So radical, in fact, that if Jurassic World 4 happens, as producer Frank Marshall pointed out, he can’t go back to dinosaurs being kept in solitary confinement.

Ian Malcolm’s Fallen Kingdom speech is the culmination of his chaos theory

Ian Malcom scene Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

In the last moments of fallen kingdom, Ian Malcolm addresses Congress, warning that the escape of the dinosaurs will now force humanity to share the Earth with them. Malcolm’s speech is intercut with images of the dinosaurs roaming human territories, Malcolm concluding “Welcome to Jurassic World.“The film ends with Velociraptor Blue towering above the human civilization below, and the ending as a whole is a cornerstone of Malcolm’s thesis first presented in jurassic park.

Caught off guard by InGen’s experiments in cloning dinosaurs, Malcolm’s belief in chaos theory gives him serious concerns about the safety of the park. He warns that the control imposed on the dinosaur population is not sustainable. Malcolm’s prediction is true in both jurassic park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the dinosaurs being held in captivity, which turns out to be too complex to work in the long term. With another human madness trying to auction off dinosaurs to the highest bidder of fallen kingdom, Malcolm’s warning reaches its zenith with the dinosaurs now released into the world. Although that makes for a compelling story for the next jurassic worldit also leaves the series boxed in how it can continue.

Why dinosaurs can’t be returned to captivity

Blue in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Ending

the jurassic park The franchise began with the solid premise of a genetically recreated dinosaur amusement park (even if only jurassic world that their scientifically inaccurate nature has been addressed). But it didn’t take long for the series to fall into a formula. From The lost World through fallen kingdomthe franchise has always involved one of two things – humans in a theme park full of dinosaurs or humans on an island where dinosaurs roam free. fallen kingdom was the joker to pick up the ball from The lost World and run with it, bringing many dinosaurs (rather than an adult T-Rex and an infant) to the mainland and freeing them in the end. The problem is that there is no going back from this point established by fallen kingdom.

The short movie Battle at Big Rock has already given an overview of the consequences of fallen kingdom, and it’s something the franchise has never done before. Like an inversion of Land of the lost, fallen kingdom and Battle at Big Rock are the first massive deviation that jurassic park and jurassic world the movies pulled from their usually contained adventures. Simply rounding up the dinosaurs and placing them on another island habitat would create Jurassic World 4 for another rinse, wash, repeat of humans running away from dinosaurs on an island. Moreover, it would be a major anti-climax to Malcolm’s closing speech in fallen kingdom for the world to simply return to the status quo after just one movie. Repetitive adventures being a story trap for the jurassic park frankness, that only leaves room for Jurassic World 4 go.

Why Jurassic World 4 needs to show the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs

Jurassic World Dominion TV Spinoff Frank Marshall Comments

DominationThe tease prologue shows a look at the dinosaurs during their time as lords of Earth, and the film will obviously go straight into the offshoots of fallen kingdom‘Sending in progress. As this is a first story for the jurassic park franchise, it must be explored to the fullest. Just a one-time escape from the dinosaur population before being caged again wouldn’t get things far enough.

Also, the initial dinosaur escape, while a major upheaval for the entire world, is only one side of the equation. When Malcolm warns that humanity must adapt to coexisting with dinosaurs after they escape into fallen kingdomhumans running for their lives every time one walks through a populated area is definitely not what he has in mind. Jurassic World 4 could change the series even more by being the first to look like a post-apocalyptic film. Cities and human civilizations would need to develop major security measures against dinosaurs. This would likely lead to entire cities being walled off and areas with high dinosaur populations being declared no-fly zones. The Mosasaurus seen in fallen kingdomThe end of ‘s would also require fishing and sea travel to undergo their own adaptations. These would be just a few of the changes to human existence on Earth that would result from a large dinosaur population. Jurassic World 4 would be well equipped to explore them all and tell an entirely new story for the franchise, which has already been teased by Jurassic World: DominionThe recent T-rex promotional spot. But dinosaurs roaming free among humans are also the inevitable conclusion to Malcolm’s chaos theory-based warning.

No hit series reaches such heights as jurassic park has without a few proven weapons in its arsenal. The Dinosaurs Came To Life Better Than Any Movie Has Ever Served The jurassic park and World film well. Yet ignoring the need for adaptation and reinvention has already downed many promising series. That’s reason enough to explain why Jurassic World 4 should continue the story from where Domination begin. If the jurassic park franchise is to have any kind of longevity, Jurassic World 4 must allow the dinosaurs to remain free afterJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in the world of modern man.
